About Harvard Habitat
Habitat for Humanity is a non profit organization dedicated to bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Founded in 1976, Habitat has impacted lives for over 48 years, partnering with people in various communities and around the world to improve a place one can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Locally, the Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston chapter, beginning in 1987, has built more than 120 homes across Boston, providing housing solutions to individuals with low-to-moderate incomes.
Our Branch
Harvard Habitat for Humanity is a student-run program that works alongside Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston to provide safe, comfortable, and affordable housing to residents of the Boston community. Through local weekend builds, week-long service trips across the country and world, and on-campus advocacy and engagement, Harvard Habitat for Humanity strives to bring together students, faculty, and community members to tackle the persistent and catastrophic issue of housing insecurity.
